China has 55 ethnic groups and other smaller groups such as white Russians and Koreans. It has managed to keep each one relatively happy and keeping their cultures and languages. China's is a model for other multi ethnics countries.

Any international player interested in involving himself to development of Afghanistan without interfering in local cultural, religious and social values would be welcome and supported by Taliban, China most likely will succeed in Afghanistan considering their attitude towards other countries they have been involved in development.

Yes even the British colonists in Canada thought their civilization was superior that they must ‘get rid of the Indian’ in the indigenous children via residential schools. And not surprisingly, there are still a number of White politicians and voters who still think the British govt meant to do ‘good’ to the indigenous people. How can that be when their motive was already wrong at the outset? Pathetic!

American produces more Lawyers than China had high Engineer produce. Such the US lawyers sue everybody, every country, everyone, around at no end fighting for easy gain. Jealous of China huge infrastructure had developed within the whole country as well as help other countries to improve people's wealth. No war, but wants peace by China.

It is true that the Americans are a laughing stock of the world when they said they would sanction Germany for Nord Stream 2. However there are countries like Australia who still sees this is legitimate. They have their head in the sand and are so different to the rest of the world.

Afghanistan has big resources in rare earthes worth about 2 - 3 trillions. The US were interested in these resources but no stability no mining. But it made money with the opium. Before the invasion, the Taliban destroyed most of the opium production. But the US reactivated the production and made Afghanistan the world's biggest opium/heroin producer.

To paraphrase the late senior Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew, "allowing Japan to take on a greater military role was like giving liqueur chocolates to an alcoholic.". As mentioned by both hosts, Japan's influence has been diminishing for the past two decades, and they want to break out of that. But with their aggressive past, both China, South Korea and other Asian nations should be very cautious about Japan's intention and actions.

Actually Pakistan is very friendly with China. When we visited Nova Scotia, a family of hotel host was particularly friendly to Chinese customers. To our surprise, they wanted to praise Chinese and eager to discuss the relationship between two countries. The same happened when were filing our gas tank at a Pakistan-managed gas station.

Dr Stewart was right abt Uyghurs being radicalized in Afghanistan, especially at saudi-funded madrasas where they "learned" salafism & brought it home as "the true Islam". Voice Of America (USA State media) had an article a couple years ago about "thousands" of uyghur fighters in the Syrian War too

Indian-Pakistani relations are at their lowest level in recent times, owing to a series of incidents, beginning with the terrorist attack and killing Chinese engineers at Dasu-Pakistan. India is also sending terrorist to Pakistan and indulged in bomb blasts and killing security forces on Pak-Afghan border, a proxy war from last 20 years as part of Great Game in Afghanistan, which will end soon hopefully.

US withdrawal from Afghanistan is a gift to several parties. China will take the challenge to bring merits to people of Afghanistan and opportunities for their needs. As for Iran it is a relief that US forces are off their direct neighbour and some opportunities. For Pakistan it is an opportunity to strengthen their position in pushing back India's posture and extremist.

The death tolls of soldiers announced by the US government do not include those tens of thousands of civilian soldiers of fortune who do most of the fightings on the battle fields. These civilian soldiers are well paid, more than the regular soldiers. The reason for the use of civilian soldiers is to reduce the number of deaths of regular soldiers statistics which are considered a sensitive political subject to the general public.
